I started chopping and slicing around 8-8:20am edt.
ok, 1.40 lb ground turkey, two big onions, many stalks of celery(5-8)
, one big green bell pepper, sliced... and the chilli seasoning... some
olive oil, some extra water to cover(filtered), uhm, 1 6oz can of tomato
paste, 1 15 oz can of tomato sauce, and one 8 oz can of tomato sauce. added
another bit of ground turkey, 1.35 lbs the label stated. all a simmering
under the top.
1 packet of 1.40 lbs of ground turkey - added first
1 packet of 1.35 lbs of ground turkey - added later
2.75 lbs total ground turkey
I used a big wooden spoon, that has a flat side to it, so it stirs and scrapes.
I used a big metal pot, the kind with a thick bottom, this type of thick
bottom pot prevents sticking and burning.
order of events:
the big eye on the electric stove I'm using has it's settings like this:
off, low then 2 through 8, then high(then back to off)
heat on setting 4
olive oil in pot
two big onions - chopped/sliced
7 stalks celery - chopped
1 packet of 1.40 lbs of ground turkey - added first
one big green bell pepper, sliced
chilli seasoning
some more olive oil
I let that cook awhile...
then...
added a little extra water to cover everything
Then I decided to add the mater stuff:
1 6oz can of tomato paste
1 15oz can of tomato sauce <- that didn't seem enough, so I added some more:
1 8oz can of tomato sauce
-------
started rolling boiling and poppin' on setting 4, so eased it down to 3... still rollin' a bit much oe I turned it down to 2, for now.
now it is simmering on setting number 2
chilli turned out really yummy about 12:30 pm. edt
